Account and Data Deletion

Follow the instructions below to remove local app data, manage an Apple subscription, or request deletion of a department account.

Last updated August 7, 2026

Three separate actions

Deleting local app data, deleting a department account, and canceling an Apple subscription are separate actions. Completing one does not automatically complete the others.

1. Individual Apple subscribers

An individual App Store subscriber generally does not have a separate IDLH Technology department account. Apple manages the purchase and subscription through the subscriber’s Apple Account.

To stop future renewal, cancel through Apple. Deleting the app or its local records does not cancel the subscription.

2. Delete local app data from an iPad

Operational records in IDLH Tactical Worksheet version 1.0 remain on the iPad unless an authorized user exports them. IDLH Technology cannot remotely delete records that exist only on the device.

  1. Review retention requirements. Ask your organization’s authorized records, command, legal, or IT representative whether incident records must be retained, exported, or placed on legal hold.
  2. Export required records. Save any reports or records your organization is authorized and required to keep using an approved destination.
  3. Delete records in the app. Use available app controls to remove records you are authorized to delete.
  4. Remove the app if appropriate. Deleting the app from the iPad removes the app and its locally stored app data from that device. Follow your organization’s device-management rules.

Removing the app cannot retract copies that were previously exported, emailed, printed, backed up, entered into a records system, or shared with another authorized person.

3. Department account deletion

An authorized department administrator may request closure or deletion of a department account by emailing support from their work address. Because this request can affect every assigned seat, we will verify the requester’s identity and authority before acting.

4. What to include in the request

  • Administrator’s full name.
  • Work email address.
  • Department or organization name.
  • Department account ID, if known.
  • Request type: close account, delete account data, or another privacy request.
  • Acknowledgment that the request will not remotely delete local operational records from department iPads.

Do not include passwords, payment-card details, active incident records, protected health information, criminal-justice information, or confidential personnel records.

5. What happens after a request

We will acknowledge and process a verified request without unreasonable delay and within timelines required by applicable law. We may ask for additional information needed to confirm identity, organizational authority, the affected account, and the intended scope.

Once verified and approved, we will close access and delete or de-identify department account information under our control, except information that must be retained for a lawful reason. We will confirm when the request has been completed or explain any lawful limitation.

6. What account deletion does not remove

A department account deletion request does not automatically remove:

  • Operational records, drawings, recordings, or reports stored locally on an iPad.
  • Copies previously exported to email, files, cloud storage, records systems, print, backups, or other people.
  • Apple subscription records or an Apple subscription, which Apple controls.
  • Records another organization or service must retain under its own obligations.
  • Limited billing, tax, security, fraud-prevention, audit, dispute, or legal records that IDLH Technology is required or permitted to retain.
  • Backup copies until they roll off routine backup schedules, unless a legal hold requires longer retention.
