Offline-first by design
Operational records created in IDLH Tactical Worksheet version 1.0 stay on the iPad unless an authorized user intentionally exports or shares them. Checking a subscription or department license does not automatically upload those operational records to IDLH Technology.
1. Scope and overview
This policy applies to IDLH Tactical Worksheet, the IDLH Technology website, department subscription administration, and support communications. It does not govern a third party’s independent service, website, or privacy practices.
“IDLH Technology,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean IDLH Technology LLC. An organization that deploys the app may establish additional rules for its personnel, devices, incident records, retention, exports, and lawful use.
2. Information stored on your iPad
Depending on how you use the app, locally stored operational content may include:
- Incident names, identifiers, dates, timestamps, notes, checklists, benchmarks, and assignments.
- Staffing or personnel information imported or entered by an authorized user.
- Drawings, tactical markings, screen recordings, microphone audio, and generated reports.
- App preferences and other information needed for offline operation.
The app reads staffing information locally when an authorized user selects an import. Microphone or screen-recording features operate only when the user intentionally starts them and grants the required device permission. IDLH Technology does not automatically receive that content.
Exports are user-controlled. Once information is exported to email, files, cloud storage, a records system, or another destination, the receiving service and your organization’s policies govern that copy.
3. Subscriptions, licenses, and department accounts
Individual Apple subscription
Apple processes the purchase, payment, subscription status, renewal, cancellation, and refund request. We may receive a limited transaction or subscription-status signal needed to confirm access, but not your full payment-card number.
Department subscription
We may process department name, administrator name and work contact information, account authentication details, installation or seat identifiers, subscription status, and limited license or security events.
Stripe processes payment information for department billing. IDLH Technology does not receive or store full payment-card details submitted directly to Stripe.
4. Website and support information
Website activity
When you visit this website, our hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser or device type, timestamps, requested pages, referring information, and security signals. This information is used to deliver the site, maintain reliability, and detect abuse.
Support communications
When you email support, we receive the address you use, message content, attachments, email metadata, and any information you choose to provide. Our business email delivery and security-filtering providers process that communication. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, active incident data, protected health information, criminal-justice information, or confidential personnel records.
Fonts and essential security
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser data. OpenAI Sites hosts the website, and Cloudflare provides delivery and security services. Cloudflare may use an essential security cookie or similar technology to distinguish legitimate traffic and protect the site.
We do not currently use advertising cookies, behavioral analytics, cross-site advertising pixels, or session-replay tools on this website.
5. How we use information
We use information we receive to:
- Provide, authenticate, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the app, website, and department accounts.
- Confirm subscriptions, administer seats, process department billing, and keep appropriate transaction records.
- Respond to support, privacy, access, correction, and deletion requests.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and threats to our services or users.
- Comply with law, enforce agreements, and establish or defend legal rights.
- Improve products using feedback and technical information that does not require us to collect operational incident content.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use operational incident content for advertising or cross-site tracking.
7. Retention
Operational app data remains on the iPad until an authorized user deletes it, removes the app, or the device is erased. Your organization is responsible for any record-retention, legal-hold, export, or backup requirements that apply before deletion.
We retain department account, support, security, and transaction information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, to maintain security, to meet billing, tax, audit, or legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. Backup copies are removed as they roll off routine backup schedules, unless a longer period is required by law or a legal hold.
8. Your choices and requests
- Control local app permissions through iPadOS settings.
- Choose whether and where to export operational records.
- Manage or cancel an individual subscription through Apple subscription settings.
- Ask an authorized department administrator to update department account or seat information.
- Request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support. We may need to verify identity and organizational authority.
Privacy rights vary by location. We will evaluate a verified request under applicable law. Some information may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, billing, tax, legal claims, or other lawful obligations.
9. Other privacy terms
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we process. No device, storage method, or transmission is completely secure. Users and organizations remain responsible for device passcodes, access controls, software updates, approved exports, and physical security.
Children
The app and website are intended for fire-service professionals, departments, and other authorized adult users. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
United States and international use
IDLH Technology operates in the United States. Information processed by our service providers may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other locations where those providers operate, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app, website, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. When appropriate, we will provide additional notice through the website, app, or department administrator.
